The recommended doses of Botox are: For glabellar lines: 20 units, injected as 4 units into each of the 5 injection sites. For lateral periorbital lines: 24 units (12 units per eye), 4 units will be applied bilaterally into each of the 3 injection sites. For horizontal forehead lines: 20 units, injected as 4 units into the 5 injection sites in the frontalis muscle. The units used for different botulinum toxin products are not the same. Bocouture units are not interchangeable with other botulinum toxin products.

Yes, Botox and dermal fillers can be used at the same time. That's because Botox botulinum toxin and dermal fillers contain different primary ingredients. They also suit different areas of the face, meaning they can be used at the same time, they just wouldn’t be used in the same facial area.

The key differences between Botox, Bocouture and Azzalure are in their formulation, potency, and dosing. Botox and Bocouture are more potent than Azzalure, which means smaller doses may be required. Of the three, Bocouture is regarded as the most ‘pure and natural’ as it doesn’t contain complex proteins. Azzalure is said to have a softer effect than Botox and Bocouture, but this can also mean that more units are needed to achieve the desired results. Another difference between these treatments is the way they are administered. The injection sites and dosages can vary depending on the individual and the desired results.

BOTOX is commonly used to treat forehead lines, frown lines (glabellar lines), and crow's feet around the eyes. Depending on client needs and professional expertise, it can also be used for other areas like the jawline and neck.

Differences in onset of action and duration of effect between Bocouture and other botulinum toxin products, such as Azzalure and Botox, include: Onset of Action: Botox and Bocouture typically show results 4-7 days after the injection. Azzalure can exhibit a slightly faster onset, with effects becoming noticeable in 2-4 days. Duration of Effect: Botox and Bocouture typically provide results that last around 3-4 months. Azzalure may have a slightly longer duration of effect for some individuals, lasting up to 4-5 months.

Botox is a neurotoxin that causes temporary muscle paralysis. In order for muscles to contract, the nerves release a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine at the junction where the nerve endings meet the muscle cells. The acetylcholine attaches to the muscle cell receptors and makes the cells contract, but Botox inhibits the release of the neurotransmitter. As a result, the muscle is unable to contract, reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

The length of time that it takes for the results of Botox to become visible varies per patient. Many find that they start to notice a change within 3 - 5 days, and the full effects of the Botox are usually seen 1 - 2 weeks post-injection.

Unopened vials of Botox should be kept refrigerated at 2°C to 8°C for up to 36 months. Reconstituted Botox should be used immediately, but it can be stored for up to 24 hours in a refrigerator.

The effects of BOTOX typically last between three to six months. Regular treatments can help maintain the desired look, and many clients see longer-lasting results with continued use.
