Safe Patient Imagery With No UV Heat
UV light sources are ideal for photographing pigmentation, sebum, and porphyrin. Porphyrin becomes more luminous with light closer to a 400 nm wavelength. However, prolonged UV exposure can harm the skin. A 385 nm UV light source, close to visible light, is relatively harmless and produces minimal heat.
